Austin Epstein, PA


Austin Epstein, MS, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Richmond Primary Care Specialists, providing health care to people of all ages in the Prince’s Bay neighborhood of Staten Island, New York City.

Austin was born and raised in Staten Island and is a graduate of Tottenville High School. He studied at Wagner College (also in Staten Island), earning his undergraduate degree as a physician assistant. 

After graduation, Austin enrolled at Touro University (formerly Touro College) in New York City, earning his master’s degree in simulation-based learning. He then worked as a physician assistant in the emergency department at Staten Island University Hospital | Northwell Health in Staten Island.

During his time in the ER, Austin served as a clinician and clinical preceptor. Then, he accepted a role at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, serving as a medicolegal investigator in the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for more than 15 years. 

At Richmond Primary Care Specialists, Austin works with people of all ages. He incorporates critical thinking and problem-based learning into his treatment approach, educating individuals on lifestyle changes they can make to improve their health and well-being. 

Austin is certified by the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). When he isn’t working, he regularly instructs courses on both specialties. Austin also holds an academic appointment with a New York-based physician assistant program.
